3.5 years in company and vocational school (dual vocational training)

What do you do in this profession?

As an industrial mechanic, you will manufacture equipment parts and assemblies for machines and production systems. You also set them up and convert them. Your activities will also include monitoring and optimizing production processes. Of course, you will also have to carry out repair and maintenance tasks.

Places of work:

Industrial mechanics primarily work in factory halls and workshops. In addition, they may also work on site with customers.

What is important?

Dexterity and eye-hand coordination (e.g. when assembling components into machines), care (e.g. when aligning and clamping workpieces), technical understanding and manual dexterity (e.g. when maintaining machines and production facilities), good physical condition (e.g. lifting heavy components)
